Born and raised in Liverpool, Mike studied film at Northumbria University before moving to London to study Fiction Direction at the National Film & Television School.
His graduation film premiered at the BFI London Film Festival, and his shorts have screened at numerous UK and international film festivals. In 2013 SATURDAY was awarded a top prize during Nisi Masa’s European Script Pitch, and the film is set to premiere at the 2015 Sundance film festival. Mike is now developing his first feature through the TorinoFilmLab AdaptLab workshop.
Jessica Levick graduated from the National Film & TV School Producing MA in 2008 having previously worked in international sales at Film4. Her first feature, the critically acclaimed
BFI & adidas funded documentary PERSONAL BEST (2012) was released theatrically in the UK by Verve Pictures. Jessica has worked as Associate Producer on low budget feature film LEGACY, starring Idris Elba (THE WIRE, LUTHER), and as Line Producer on the BIFA nominated Warp/Film4 science fiction short film DR EASY. She has produced a number of award winning music videos and short films, with cast including Vicky McClure, Natalie Press, Sheila Reid and Riz Ahmed. Jessica’s Ffilm Cymru Wales developed feature, MY ROMANTIC HISTORY, is an adaptation of the award-winning play by DC Jackson, and will be directed by 2014 Bafta Cymru award-winning & Screen Star of Tomorrow, Keri Collins.
After several years working in the film industry on feature including Roger Michell’s VENUS and Anton Corbijn’s CONTROL, Brian studied Cinematography at the National Film & Television School where his graduation film BLACKWATER went on to be shown at numerous international festivals, picking up prizes in Greece and LA, and making the selection for Camerimage in Poland. Brian has been shooting around the world on a wide range of projects; commercials, fashion films , music promos, documentaries and shorts; as well as additional Cinematography on the BAFTA-nominated feature documentary McCULLIN and Director of Photography (2nd Unit) on SEX & DRUGS & ROCK & ROLL. He has just completed filming on the BFI backed feature DEPARTURE, directed by Andrew Steggall.
Anna is a Designer based in London who was recently honoured as a BAFTA Brit to Watch.Originally from Edinburgh, Anna studied Fine Art and graduated with a 1st class honours degree in Theatre Design. Having successfully designed a variety of national theatre productions, Anna then fell in love with film making. Anna graduated from the National Film and Television School in 2010 with an MA in Film Production.
She has worked on large scale features such as HARRY BROWN (starring Michael Caine) and Steven Spielberg’s WAR HORSE, and designed IN OUR NAME which premiered at London Film Festival 2010 and won a British Independent Film Award. Anna was the recipient of the Mark Farley Prize for “Most Promising Production Designer”.
Sam Blair is a graduate of the UK’s National Film and Television School where he studied Documentary Direction. Predominantly a documentary filmmaker, Blair is also an editor of his own and other directors’ films, with SATURDAY his first foray into fiction filmmaking . His debut feature PERSONAL BEST, a portrayal of young British sprinters, was backed by the BFI, received a nationwide cinema release and was long listed for the Evening Standard Film Awards. He directed and edited MARADONA ‘86 for ESPN’s highly regarded 30 for 30series, with Emmy Award-Winning producer John Battsek.
