To all our Kickstarter backers
On Sept 8th 2013: exactly ONE YEAR AGO TODAY, you pushed us over the finish line and kicked-off this journey of turning our short film project into a reality!
Our primary aim was always to get the film shot and edited in time of the 25th Anniversary, and so barely a 6 weeks after achieving our goal we dived straight into production…
Thanks to your unbelievable faith, and the skill and dedication of our amazing cast & crew, both myself and producer Jessica Levick are proud to say that the film is now completed — and we are really proud of it!
We wouldn’t be where we are today without your belief in and continued support of our film! For that we are eternally grateful – THANK YOU!
THE NEW INQUEST
Since the very beginning of this project, we are very proud to say that we have had the full backing of both the HJC and the HFSG, and consulted with them at each stage of this production.
As most of you will know we did try and bring you a screening in June, but at the request of the families we put our premiere on hold and waited for their blessing before releasing the film:
As it stands the families are hoping the current inquest will deliver their verdict in JULY 2015 (although this is something they cannot 100% guarantee): if this goes to plan, then this is when we hope we can release the film to you all!!
Now I know this might sound a long time away, but considering how understanding you’ve all been up until this point, I believe you agree that the most important thing right now is securing the right result for all the families at the new inquest — and when you think that the families have been waiting over 25 years for justice, then it really puts our situation into perspective!
WE’VE SAID IT A MILLION TIMES BUT WE ARE SO THANKFUL THAT YOU DECIDED TO BECOME PART OF THIS PROJECT…
We thank you all for your understanding, and just hope we can make you all proud when we release the film in 2015!
